Mr. Van Egmond had a flour and feed store here in early years.

Margaret E. Vance purchased the building in 1912 and opened a fancy dry goods store.

Ferrier's Butcher Shop was located here, then A. Shaw bought it in 1921 and operated a butcher shop for years.

Mark Ansara had a candy store at this location after that.

Around 1948, McCreas bought the building and started their 5 cent to $1.00 store. They moved down the street later to the building that was the dime store for almost 20 years.

Fishman's Men's Wear, an outlet from the Soo, used the store after McCrea's.

Bill Williamson had his first marina business here, renting the building from Fishman's.
