- This is a black and white photo of two storefronts on Main Street, Thessalon. The two story building on the left is the Thessalon 5 cent to $1.00 Store. On the right is the International Harvester Farm Equipment Store. An unidentified home is on the far right of the photograph.

- Notes below this photo read: "Thessalon's first Dime Store 1938-39 was owned by H.C.Jackson, (21st Mayor of Thessalon 1942-46). International Harvester was owned by Ralph McKay. In 1991 Sears is in this store. The house next door was Dr. Sproules home and office."
