Gordon Delhenty was not only a barber but also was a professional photographer who had his photography studio above his barber shop on Main Street.
Delhenty's Barber Shop located directly next to the Empire Theater was located in the building previously occupied by the A.E. Beck Lumber Co. office on the east side of Main Street between Huron and Algoma.
Shown here is Mr. Gordon Delhenty in 1958 standing in front of his business.
Prior to opening his business on the east side of Main Street he was located for a time in the Barrett Block along the west side of Main Street prior to the fire.
In 2010 Delhenty's Barber Shop and Photo Studio is one of the few remaining buildings still intact from the early 1900's. It has stood vacant on Main Street for some time but is a memory of bygone days.
