Riding the River
Yes there were Other Boats

Yes there were other boats on the Magnetawan. There has always been a variety of vessels on the river. Here is an empty ferry. This ferry would have been capable of trainspotting people, good and/or vehicles across the river, many times a day.

This is a picture of Boat #2 (that was its name) in the middle of Lake Cecebe. This was a pleasure craft that would have gone up and down the lake all summer long.

Here is another of the many passenger steamers that ran up and down the Magnetawan during the summer. This image has a group of people on the top deck and the cabin below. This looks like a happening party!

To show that heavy labour was taking place on the Magnetawan here are four loggers, a tug and the Ark. The loggers have linked the logs together so that they can be pulled down the Magnetawan. The Ark, the cabin on the left, is a house on a barge. It would've been used by loggers putting logs on the river. Once they were done at one site they could move to another, keeping the workers close to the work.
