Back at the camp during warm months the soldiers would have bathed in the lake. Some of the men are washing up near the shore. While the little more adventurous men are swimming.
One of the off-hours leisure activities that soldiers could do was get their photograph taken as a memento of their time in the military. This picture may have been taken at Lily Faulkner Studios. These four officers went to a local studio and had this group photograph taken. The soldier in the back right is unknown, on the left is Wes Flemming. In the front on the left is Harvey Carter(from South River) and on the right sitting is Erven Dunbar.
Here's a large group from the 162nd Battalion standing in front of a wall. It's likely that this wall was somewhere in Sundridge, but it's location is ultimately unknown. In the centre front with leather puttees is Lt. Clarence Laing. The names of the other soldiers is unknown.
Finally, we have a picture of 162nd Battalion on the Burk's Falls Fairgrounds. These soldiers are ready for inspection. On the far right you can see the squads Lieutenant, Clarence Laing, who will be preforming the inspection. It's likely that after the inspection these soldiers will be marching back to their camp at the Paget's Farm through the village of Burk's Falls.
