- Charles Broley (1879-1959)was the famous "Eagle Man"who banded more than 1000 eagles in his lifetime as well as sounding alarms about DDT. His cottage on Whiskey Island was purchased in 1913 when he was working as a banker in Delta and he returned here every summer until his death.
