SOUTH CPOSBY BEACH & PLAYGROUND Once again this year, South Crosby TOWnship will offer a summer day camp with swimming lessons for the children of the area. The program includes arts and crafts, games and athâ€" letic activities, as well as special events and trips away. The program begins on Nonday, July 3rd. and will run the en- tire summer, except for one week in August. Fees for the summer program are $5.00 per child, or $10.00 for a family. A bus will run daily, Nonday through Erida'ff from the Public School in Elgin to the beach, leaving at 9rh5 and returning at Lzls. Children may register on londay, or may pre-register by contacting larie Earl, program co-ordinator at 350â€"5?5?. The swimming program will be run by Brenda Tetley of Srith's Falls. who is a qualified Red Cross Swirming Instructor. Instructional classes from pre- beginner to Bronze ledallion will be offered, including a Tom and Fe for infants and tots, and their mothers. In January,°79.the service will be administered by the Red Cross or VON. Donations of any size from groups or individuals will be gratefully accepted.Po date.donations and pledges totalling $1.300 have been received.Pledges of support have also been received from the counc- ils of Newboro,South Crosby and North Crosby. Mrs.Green expressed hope that donations or pledges would be made by August 15,so that a realistic assessment of the situation can be made at that time.
