- Black and white photograph of Newboro Lockmaster's house with group in 1904. William Dargavel (1843 - 1928) in the photo was lockmaster in Newboro. His wife was Anne Laishley. The lockmaster's house was actually a block house built in the 1830's. Photograph was taken in 1904. In the photograph (left to right): Mrs. J. Laishley, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Dargavel, H. Laishley, Mary Dargavel, Mr. and Mrs. W. Laishley, Rod Dargavel, Mrs. and Mr. Wm Dargavel, Libbie Brown Chisholm, Mrs. A. Seed, Mrs. and Mr. Stearns Ransom.
Note: This lockmaster's house was originally a blockhouse built c.1834. - Notes
