- This image depicts two of the canoes on the trip from Whitby, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec to commemorate Canada's Confederation Centennial, as well as Expo 67, which was occurring in Montreal at this time. When this picture was taken, the canoers were four days into their trip, and in the process of departing from Trenton, Ontario to continue east.
