- Exterior of the house of Dr. William L. Hilliard at 39 Albert Street, called "Wastena". House later became a city hall annex. It held the Victorian Order of Nurses, the chamber of commerce and other community groups and agencies. It was demolished in the 1960s and would currently be the Waterloo Library building and parking site.

- Dr. Hilliard served as Mayor of Waterloo from 1916 to 1917.
