Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, October 31, 1984, page 9 School Bus Safety Students in the Schreiber Public School, Terrace Bay Public School and the Lake Superior High School completed a bus safety program during the weeks of October 15 and 22; The elementary pro- gram ranged from sim- ulating school bus load- ing and unloading pro- cédures, to emergency evacuation drills. In the high school, were instructed in emergency school bus evacuation procedures as well as the proper use of fire extinguishers. The safety activities were conducted by the Schreiber and Terrace Bay Fire Departments, the Schreiber O.P.P. and the Terrace Bay Police Department. Don Anderson of the Schrei- ber O.P.P. detachment developed the program with the assistance of the Lake Superior Board of Education staff. Students in Mara- thon and Manitouwadge will participate in a sim- ilar program within the next few weeks. It is an- ticipated that this safety program will become an annual activity in all the Lake Superior Board of Education Schools.
