In the first draw Marathon defeated Heron Bay I8 to 0 as Ruoy Barton drove in 6 runs. Dick Mannisto lead Schreiber Mayfair to a 2-I win over Nipigon International with a 3 hitter 15 strikeouts and a 2 run homer. Paced by a one hitter by Darryl Ross and 3 homers Klomp Wakefield defeated Red Rock 8 to O.. A.3 run homer by Ray Meservia proved the difference as Gunnar Vinters subdued Murillo 6-3. Ross- lyn Brickmen defeated Westfort 5-4 on the strength of a 2 run homer by Al Nalezyty. McLeod Cartage clubbed Nipigon Ovilio 7-I be- hind the 3 hit pitching of Larry Zweep. All losing teams moved the the "B" event. In the first game of this draw, Nipigon Inter- national beat Heron Bay 7-2 with Bruce Jeremy hitting a grand slam home run. A 6th inning 3 run homer by Keith Allen brought McLeod Cartage from be- hind, to a 3-I victory over Rosslyn Brickmen.
