The Schools and Students of Sundridge
Consolidated Sundridge School

Lorne Wilson's Sundridge Consolidated School class picture, 1929. The students are arranged in four rows. The girls are standing in the back two rows. The boys are kneeling and sitting in the front two rows. The teacher, Lorne Wilson, is standing at the very back in the middle.

This consolidated school was built to replace the old wooden schools in Pevensey and Sundridge.

This postcard shows two girls walking towards the Consolidated School in Sundridge. The school is two stories. Unlike the old schools which had separate entrances for girls and boys this school only has one main entrance.

A photograph of a class inside the Sundridge Consolidated Public School. The students are lined along the far row with their teacher, Miss Tennant. The school desks have a decorative piece of metal on their sides. A blackboard can be seen on the one wall of the classroom.

The Senior Class of Sundridge Consolidated Public School. The teacher is on the far left side. Unlike some of the earlier class photographs the boys and the girls are not organized by gender in this photograph. And unlike the other class pictures its taken in the winter.

Only three of the students names are known: George Hill, Fred Johnstone, and Vera Garrett.
