Description
An article written by local columnist Dorothy Eedy titled "Royal visit brings back memories of chaperoning bad brother Bill". This article is about royal visits. Eedy writes about the royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in the summer of 1939. As a child, Eedy's school took the school children to Jasper, B.C. to see the royals as they passed through. Eedy missed seeing the King and Queen because she had to look after her brother who became ill on the trip. She also describes seeing Princess Margaret Rose's baby in Kensington Park on another occasion.

Recipes included in the article: "Preachers Casserole" and "Martha's Casserole".

*This article is one in a series titled "Eat at Our House" available on Picture St. Marys. For more information on Dorothy Eedy see "Other Web sites/External links" under the main image.
