The child is Clifford Alvin Smeltzer. The mother is Gertrude Noaik, wife of William Leslie Smeltzer. The older woman is Ellen Mckee Wife of David Smeltzer. David and Ellen are buried South River.
The correct names of the people in the photo are:
Baby: Clifford Smeltzer Elderly Lady: Eva (Yonie) Noaik The man: Frank Noaik son of Eva Noaik and Lawrence Noaik The Younger woman: Gertrude (Noaik) Smeltzer
The photo is of four generations and was taken in the Village of South River.
The woman behind the baby would be Gertrude Noaik, wife of Leslie Smeltzer. Leslie = the man, South River blacksmith. [He was the son of David Smeltzer 1848-1920 and Ellen McKee 1846-1924.] In the 1921 Census the children were: Ruby 6, Charles 4, Frank 3, and John 10/12. Thus the photo seems to have been taken after 1921. The older woman is more likely Ellen McKee Smeltzer since Eva Noaik died in 1915. That gives us 3 generations: Ellen, her son Leslie/wife Gertrude, the new grandson.
