- This is a black and white photograph of the Chequers Inn, located in South River. The restaurant's in the first floor of a two floor building. The entrance's to the left of the picture, and it's a door trimmed with white paint. There are four windows along the restaurant's exterior, topped with canvas overhangs. Above the door and windows are a large sign that reads 'Chequers.' Hanging outside the restaurant, to the left of the photograph, is a sign that reads "Chequers Restaurant, Quick Lunches." To the right of the entrance is a Coca-Cola sign. There's a car, man and women in the parking lot.
- Notes
- Chequers Inn was built around 1933-1935. It was owned and operated by Mr A.H. Arnold. It was closed in the early fifties.
