Thessalon Woolen Mill was built in 1897, and was managed by the Cronkhite brothers. It operated until 1909. The Mill was located on Algoma Street East, with easy access to the government dock.
In 1919 the building was purchased for use as a lathe mill called Thessalon Wood Products.
This building later became a dance hall and later still, it became a band saw manufacturing operation. The building was eventually destroyed by fire.
