    Edward Curry 1853-1945 was a fishing guide at Chaffey's Lock who resided in Newboro. This picture of him used to hang at the Opinicon Hotel.

    Harriet Singleton Pierce 1864-1940 lived in Delta most of her life. She was the mother of well-known Canadian publisher Lorne Pierce.

    Fred Randolph 1882-1964 was the son of Jarvis Randolph the blacksmith in Elgin. He guided at Chaffey's Lock although had also spent a number of years in the United States. Here he is cooking a shore
