We had and four advisors boarded the For the "b-v-V.A. train in Kingston. next 35 odd hours we ate, looked at rocks, floods, trees, snow, small stations and one freight derailment. The train trip was an interesting, exâ€" citing, but ultimately ted- ious experience. We arrived in Winnipeg (at 3 a.m.) and spent the next day visiting the Museum of Man and Nature, the Assina- boine Zoo and the Pan Am Pool. The weather was excellent. We boarded a charter coach for Wawanesa at 7:30. In our week on the prairies, we visited large cattle and grain farms, a Hutterite Colony, a swinging bridge, a pioneer museum, the Manitoba desert, C.F.B. Shilo, where the West German soldiers train, and went for plane rides in a small four seater piloted by the mayor of Waw- anesa. The visit ended too soon, of course, and we flew back from Winnipeg via Air Canada. Many students made lasting friendships and we all learned from the experience in our neighbour province.
