Mrs. Harry McEl- roy who is a charter member of the Lodge was chosen to make the present- ation. An hour or so was spent reminiscing of by gone days of 50 years ago in the Lodge work â€" three of those present proudly wearing their 50 years jewels, namely Mrs. Helen Gifford, Mrs. Mabel McElroy and Mrs. Vera Sheridan and also, Mrs. Audrey Talbot was recently presented with a 35 year jewel. Mrs. Sodeberg was very happy and expressed her deep gratitude to those in charge of the occasion, as she had served 47 years in the lodge and 37 of those in office. Landon Clerk-Treasurer DELTA COUPLE CELEBRATED It was a very happy occasion when Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Irwin were privi- leged to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary made possible by the planning and work of their daughter Eileen and her husband Victor Halladay. The celebration began on Sunday April lst with a family gathering and on Monday, April 2nd, the real date, the Irwin home was open from 2 to 5 for friends and neighbours to call on the happy occasion. The Baptist Church Women served the refreshments and Mrs. Myrtle Taylor was in charge of the guest book. Two persons were present that attended the Irwin wedding in 1919: Mrs. Vera She- ridan and Mrs. Helen Gifford. -The Irwins were honoured in receiving congratulations from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Prime Minister Trudeau, Hon. Pauline McGibbon, Lieut. Governor of Ontario, Joe Clark, Tom Cossitt, M.P. James Auld, Minister of Natural Re- sources and a framed plaque from Premier William Davis of Ontario.
