Reports re the last production "Never Too Late" in- dicate that the public are enjoying and are supportive of the local theatre. All participants, actors and behind the scenes workers were congratulated for their hard work. Special thanks went to Ross Patterson whose excelâ€" lent sets enhanced the production enormously. The treasurer reported that the bank balance is healthy at the present time, but that production costs are increasing for each perform- ance. Mr. Thomas Scovil commented that the group has always "run in the black" and was probably unique in this as- pect as many amateur (and professional) groups often see the debit side of the ledger. A special vote of thanks went to June Greisanmer for her total committment even when health prob- lems should have slowed her down. NEW PROJECT Mrs. Greisanmer reported that the Leeds and Grenville County Board of Education is interested in cooperating with the Lakeland Players in the pro- duction of Children's Theatre. The production would tour the schools of Leeds and Grenville, and it is hoped that a permanent company could de- velop. This venture is to be directed by Mrs. Greisanmer and hopefully will draw participants from teachers, staff and the general public. E l .
