Circulation has increased and the use of additional services has given the Board the incen~ tive to increase these areas. i.e. talking books, large print collec- tion, film service and special exâ€" hibits. Through the cooperation of Frontenac County Library System, we have reciprocal borrowing privileges an UBooks by Mail” service for any of our patrons. Through careful planning and a Wintario grant we have begun furnishing our branches with good basic library shelving and equipment. We hope to continue in 1977 to bring our libraries up to standard in this area thus en~ abling us to increase the size of collection in each branch. We have also acquired h cassette players, a 16mm film projector and screen and a 32 cup coffee percolaâ€" tor for use both in the library setting and for loan to our patrons and community groups. We haVe an excellent film li- brary available to us thraugh Ottawa Public, Pembroke Public Library, and the National Film hoard. We are hoping to add an 9mm projector to our list in 1977. In December we offered a personal shopping help for our patrons who wished to give books for Christmas gifts. We hope to expand this type of service this year. We haVe acquired a Bookmobile for use as temporary headeuarters for the Union and honefully this Will become a branch library at a future date. Our expanded reference section in Elgin has been well used by many of our patrons and we are pleased with the referral service from Rideau District High School.
