Miss Adelaide Flemming led in devotions, her motto being concern a- bout "WOrld Development International. Mrs. K. Williams suggested each one of us write a letter to our M.P. about "World Developmentâ€, asking for help for the people in stricken coun- tries. If the government gets enough letters they will match dollars to our dollars for relief. The sunshine bothers were dis- tributed at this meeting. Crokinole Party to be held at the Newboro Court House April 15, 1977 at 8 pm. Silent auction netted thirty dollars. St. Mary's A.C.W. held their March meeting at the home of Mary Warren in Newboro, with seven ladies present. The ladies have decided to preâ€" pare a baby layette for the Anglican Church Women Diocesan Cupboard. The A.C.W. annual to be held in Kingston on April 28, 1977. Rev. Brandon was present and showed some very interesting slides on Newboro's Centennial parade. A Social Hour was then enjoyed by the ladies. Rideau Lakes Civinettes The monthly meeting of the Rid- eau Lakes Civinettes was held at the home of Mrs. Margaret (Lawrence) Pritchard, Newboro, Tuesday, March 15, 1977, with 15 members present. This was the first meeting of the new executive. President â€"Sharon Steadman Vice President Catherine Nixon Secretary ~ Barbara Kendal Sargent at Arms ~ Jean Monck The meeting opened with roll call, collection of dues, fines and birthday money. Minutes of the February meeting were read, and adopted. Co- rrespondence and new business was disâ€" cussed. Minutes of the Executive meeting were as follows: Programme Committee» Jane Purdy Kitty Young Cards & Flowers- Lynne Myers Dorothy Adamson Publicity- Sylvia Child The new revised proposed byâ€" laws were read and adopted. The past officers were each presented with a rose in apprecia- tion for their work, devotion and loyalty to Civinettes for the past year. The meeting closed with the Civinettes Creed and all enjoyed a social evening after. Jean Monck won the Dutch auc- tion donated by Doris Burtch. A lovely lunch was served by Jane Purdy and Sue Turnball. The next meeting of the Rideau Lake Civinettes will be held April 26, 1977, at the home of Gail Schlueter, Portland. THEATRE PRODUCTION COMING SOON A group of players from the North Leeds area led by June Greisammer '11 be presenting THE ADVENTURES OF HARLâ€" EQUIN in Rideau Vista Public School, Wesport at 8 o'clock P.M. This play is especially entertaining for childâ€" ren but will also appeal to adults.
