Over a thousand dollars was raised for the Couples Club and the Building Fund for Hall renovations. Tenders have been in- vited for the job of renovating and expanding the Hall, and submissions will be made to the Ministry of Culture and Recreation in the near future. We are hopeful that con- struction can begin this summer. Thanks again to all those who have helped to bring us closer to our goal. ? MISSING LAKE ? The Ontario Geographic Names Board is attempting to locate "JAMESTOWN" or "JAMESTON" Lake. A 19th. century TraVel Journal makes reference to a lake by that name in Leeds County,(possibly near Black Rapids.), however, the files of the Board have no such name in Leeds, even as an historical or former name for a lake. If any of our readers can be of a sistance in locating this body of water, either geographically or by its present name, the Board would be happy to hear from you.
