Bud Donald was chair- man of the meeting which opened with a tribute to a valued member of the Delta Mill Society, Mr. Harold Russell, whose death saddened the members and the community as he was an outstanding citizen of our village, he was vice president of our Mill Society and his dreams. un- tiring efforts. keen interest and wise judgement were of great value during the restoration of the Old Stone Mill. He was one of a small group of individuals who became the driving force behind the project. The highest tribute we can pay our deâ€" parted member is for the remaining members to re dedicate their time, historic site, and assure that his dreams were not in vain. We all know that he would have been very happy over the recent grant from the Ontario Herttager Foundation and the further sum for architectural consultants. Among the many items of busi- ness was the appointment of Dr. Paul Fritz as Chairman of the New Museum Committee. The bake sale date was set for July 20th at the Mill, and a message of cheer was signed by the members for Dr. Roht. luck, the Mill Society president, who is convalescing at his home in Florida following a lengthy ill- ness. Members of the helta Hill Society are urged on in their enâ€" deavours to establish the Hill MUSEUM by statements of great men of the past. such as Joseph Larve who said. “A wise nation preserves it's records‘ repairs it's great public structures and fosters national pride and love of connâ€" try by pernetual reference to the sacrifeces and glories of the past.
