It was on June 3rd. 1877. that building operations first began on the present site. On December 23rd, 1877. this famous building was dedicated Olivet Methodist Church. Over the years. many changes have been made within the buildings, as well as to the cemetery and its surroundings. To commemorate our Centennial. the members have scheduled several events during this year. the first one being an Olde Tyne Methodist Service which will be held Sunday, April 17th, at 8 pgn. It will take the form of a simple service of praise and thanks- giving to our forefathers for presenting us with such a lovely building in which to worship.
