WESTPORT ARENA HEARING 'I'HE COMPUTTION OF PHASE I The main structure of the arena in West- port is now complete. The next phase of construction involves the building of the dressing rooms and the Zamboni room which will house the iceâ€"making machine. However before construction.can begin on the next phase, additional monies must be raised from the community. Already area residents have contributed $66,000 through donations and fund raising activities. Only 39,000 is lacking before the goal of 875.000 is reached. If you can give a donation, please do so as soon as possible so that construc- tion can proceed. Gary Murphy, fund raising organizer is hopeful that the goal will be reached early in September. If this is achieved, we can look forward to seeing the arena open by October of this year. ‘IIIIII-IIIIIIIIIIEBII!!EEEE The Lakeland Players A group of former participants of the St. Lawrence Theatre Workshop, held at Rideau Vista School in Westport have recently formed their own theatâ€" re group - The Lakeland Players.
