Its purpose was to explore and develop ways for the many varied farm organizations within this county to work together to im- prove agriculture in general. Mr. Charles Tanner chaired the meeting. Approx. 22 people atâ€" tended. Representatives of the. different organizations were as- ked to outline their activities and future goals. ‘ It was then decided that a caâ€" lendar of events was needed in order to avoid having annual meetings (with interesting guest- speakers), banquets, workshops etc. on the same day or tooclose together. A motion was passed that a three member committee be formed, its purpose should be to coordinate various activities, make recomâ€" mendations as to workshops wanâ€" ted by individual farmers, proâ€" gram developing etc. Its first task should be to set up a calendar for the next two months, containing dates of all interesting activities, planned by the individual organizations. This will be passed on to Er. Charles Tanner, at the Ag.ReP Office in Brockville, who will make out a calendar of events, to be added to the monthly issue of the Leeds County Cropâ€"Gram newsletter. Hopefully in the future speâ€" cial activities can be plan- ned and advertised as long as 6 months ahead of time. Elected to the committee were: Bob Smith, Elgin Eric Webster, Lansdowne Pat Jackson, Gananoque. PAGE FIFTEEN â€"7 I ’ .
