Alas.the thrill is too seldom for most of us.Must we content ourselves to sit in the shade and gaze hopefully into the sky?No, not always. Have you heard of a model airâ€" plane that flies with no strings \attached?They are very realistic. and they are remote controlled with a radio system.You will-hear and see more and more about this growing hobby/sport. NORTH CROSBY RECREATION COMMITTEE WALKATHON HUGE SUCCESS "My feet hurt.but it was a lot of fun." was the most common remark following the Walkathon held early last month by the North Crosby Re- creation CommitteeeThis is a first for the Committee as a fund raisâ€" ing idea.32 walkers completed the 12 mile route. Township Reeve Dean Taggart joined in the fun.and finished the walk in 3 hours.11 minutes.Dep- uty Reeve Eddie Norwood and Coun- cillor Lawrence Palmer (the oldest of the walkers) also participated. The youngest male walker was 7 year old Todd Wright of Newboro. and he made it the whole way.The youngest girl,Laura McEwen.didn't quite finishzbut she did her best.
