President Sweet announced that the recent opening of the Old Stone Mill had reaped a sale of mugs and hasty notes. Dr. David Russo spoke about his inâ€" vestigation of grants and develop- ment. Dr. Paul Fritz talked about plans for next summer's opening of the Mill. A brochure is to be printed. DELTA LEGiON Royal Canadian Legion Branch #207 Delta. The regular meeting of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #207, Delta, was held in the Legion Hall on Tues. ,Oct. 13th, with the President, Comrade Harry Vollick, acting as Chair- man. Miï¬utes'Of the last meeting were read, approved‘andfsigned.'Thé treasurer’s report was accepted as read° It was reperted that a new care- taker had been hired as the present one had moved out of town. Poppy Chairman reported that this year the poppy's would be sold early. The Ways and Means Committee reported that the winner of the last 50-50 Draw was Mrs. Mitchell. Tickets are now on sale for a % of Beef. Tickets may be purchased from members of the Legion. - , The next Legion Dance will be on Halloween Night, Oct. 31st, and there will be prizes for costumes. The date for the Ham Supper will be Nov. 21st. 'On Sunday. Nov. 8th, Branch 207 and the Ladies Auxilliary will attend the United Church at 9:30a.m. They will leave the Legion Hall at 9:20a.m. and march to the Church in a body. All Legion members are asked to attend. I , It was moved and seconded that the Legion grant $40.00 to the Beverley Elementary School for Remembrance Day Posters. The Building Committee reported that they felt it was not feasible to expand the building at this time. The meeting closed and a social hour was enjoyed by all. an iv: . A garage sale is to be held on October 25 from , 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a bakeé table and a white elephant table. i Comrade H. McCready will lay our wreath at the Cenotaph on Nov. 8. Open House at the Delta Legion Hall will be held every Wednesday evening. This is open to non-members interested in cribbage, euchre, shuffle board, darts and dancing. Raffle tickets on a painted table cloth were distributed. The draw will i take place on Oct. 25. It was decided to cater to the Senior. Citizen's Christmas dinner on Dec. 18.
