It was a great game and Ottawa proved, to media pundits and fans alike, that they deserved to be there. The gripes about the officiating may be genuine but let's be objective; there has to be a winner and a loser. Even though a team may seem to have everything under control, "Lady Luck" can often change the apparent inevitable. "Lady Luck", human error, the unforeseen, the inevitable, what ever you wish to call it, adds an exciting unpredictability to our lives. If we could always be sure that everything we planned would go exactly as planned, wouldn't we become very complacent?(and even bored.) Much of the excitement and challenge would be removed from our liveso Even the unâ€" pleasant 'unpredictables', from the car not starting to not getting a job/promotion, cause us to look to ourselves for patience and hidden strengths which are essential parts of the human character. The pleasant ones; winning a game, receiving an award or praise or having things "go right", ! give our spirits a lift. Good and bad, they are all part of the human experience. As we move towards another Christmas Season we will each meet "Lady Luck" in many forms.(happy reunions with family; sad news about friends; that surprise gift, the cake that didn't rise.) How we react to these occurrences can influence not only ourselves but our family and friends. Even when faced with the darker side, a glow of light may appear when ., ,, l .d approached with a positive attitude.
