XI ZETA IOTA On March 6, members met at the home of Barb Purdy, who introduced her guest Marjorie Keates from "Jemima‘s Perennials and Herbs". Marjorie spoke about some of the perennials and herbs that she sells and she had books for us to look at, as well as an herb chart. We also planted daisy and tomato seeds in peat pots. Daffodil posters and letters will be delivered to various businesses in the area. Bunches of daffodils will be sold at the beginning of April for the Canadian Cancer Society. APRIL 13 th RIDEAU DISTRICT DIABETES ASSOCIATION A meeting of the Rideau District Diabetes Assoc, was held recently with about 40 people in attendance. A film was shown "Live With It" which was enjoyed by everyone. Dr. Shiozaki spoke briefly on Diabetes and a question and answer period followed. The results of the election of officers was: President-Mary Klynkramer, Vice President-Marjorie Jackson, Secretaryâ€" Sue Alford, Treasurer-John Jones. Refreshments were served and a social hour followed which gave everyone a chance to compare notes. The next meetings are scheduled as follows: March 22, May 13 and Sept. 30. Everyone is welcome at these meetings which are held to help the diabetics with their problems. We plan to have some interesting speakers and films. Family members are encouraged to attend.
