President Betty Moorehead welcomed everyone and opened the meeting with the reading of a poem "Spring". Audrey Welch was in charge of the devotional. The hymn "We plough the Fields and Scatter" was sung. Audrey's theme was "Planting and Reaping" and she read an article with this title along with a poem by Edgar A. Guest titled "A Package of Seeds". The devotional closed with prayer. Offering was taken and dedicated followed by reading and approval of minutes. Roll call was answered by 17 members. The treasurer's report was presented along with a report of the conference which included many interesting topics. Mary Townsend gave a reading on stewardship. Correspondence included a thank you card from the Kenny family. It was decided to hold a bake sale on Aug. 17/85 and a Tea 8: Bazaar on Nov. 9/85 Meeting closed with the repeating of the Lord's Prayer in unison. A delicious lunch was served and a vote of thanks was extended to the hostess for the use of her home as well as to those who had assisted with the meeting.
