Copies of the minutes of July 21 regular meeting and of special public meeting to consider zoning amendments were distributed to council members for their perusal and approved. Business Arising: - Will take no further action re request for donation towards the purchase of a wheelchair for William Ubdegrove until further information is received from Ontario March of Dimes â€" no response from Canadian Red Cross re our request of breakâ€"down on rates for homemaker services - moved that Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority be requested to consider a floating dock and six benches for Township Park - following discussion re community centres and township owned buildings, clerk to write letter to chairman of each committee on Board and ask who holds an entrance key to each building â€" Policy and Procedures Committee to meet to discuss policies on road closings â€" moved that proceedings to stopâ€"up, close and sell portion of unopened road allowance as requested by Mr. Robert Curtis, be discontinued â€" moved that council agree that the Subdividers Agreement between Township of South Crosby and Mr. Michael Meredith, upon written approval from Robert Scott, Solicitor, be signed and executed â€" discussion re condition of Davis Lock Road, past and present maintenance and repairs, road grants, etc. - Road Superintendent was instructed to see that NORTH LEEDS LANTERN large stones on Davis Lock Road are removed and to do a study with regards to need for gravel â€" Reeve reported to council on Special In-Camera meeting regarding matter of concern at the Summer Playground Programâ€"moved that the following recommendations be forwarded to the chairman of the Recreation Program: 1. The Chairman of Recreation, council member on Recreation Committee and the Coâ€"ordinator of Summer Playground, act as a committee for employees for Playground 3. Past president Mary Townsend said the grace after which Kathryn welcomed the group. A highlight of the meal was the anniversary cake in honour of the Ontario group's formation 30 years of ago. Inscription on it also honoured Stella Cheetham, a member from Gananoque who was made a life member at the recent convention in Ottawa. The only item of business was the handing over of the gavel to incoming president Nina Churchill. The nominating committee presented the following slate of officers for 1986: Past Pres. Doris Potter, district director, presented a certificate to Kathryn Scott for outstanding service. Kathryn has been a president of this group and is the very capable pianist. Before the group left, a warm welcome was given to several newly retired teachers who were present for the first time.
