Building Inspector is to contact Solicitor about response from Mr. Oldendorp. - council suggest that Mr. Norget be contacted and that he apply for minor variance and severance rather than zoning amendment for second residential unit. â€" Land Severance No. B-379-86, in the name of Norma Mallen was accepted provided that the applicant dedicate and deed to the township a strip of land 33 feet from the centre of the road for future road widening purposes. â€" the matter of Basic mapping for the Township was discussed. Road Superintendent's Report and action taken: - number of requests for a yield or stop sign to be placed at the "Y" in the Brier Hill Road â€" brushing on Davis Locks Road is going real slow. I would like council to consider the purchase of a bushhog. Council authorized the purchase of bush hog for approximate price of $800. â€" Township parking lot and yard has been washed down by the fire department and the pavement is showing signs of cracking - should be a surface coating put on before it gets worse. Road Superintendent authorized to get price for re-surfacing parking lot â€" work is about two thirds done on the Cross Road between Chaffey's Lock Road and Davis Locks Road. Approx. 600 tons on the road or about $2,100. if we were to buy it - Council authorized purchase of a one-way plough, maximum price $1,200. â€" all tenders we have in for new truck meet specifications and are all quite comparable. Discussion re problems of shoplifting, bad cheques, etc. and it was suggested that local merchants keep each other informed of known incidents.
