Wallace Latham, Pat McCarthy, Bruce Teeple, Lloyd Sawyer, Charles French and Louis Burtch were installed in the office Noble Grand, Vice Grand, Recording Secretary, Financial Sec., Treasurer and Junior Past Grand respectively. The appointive officers for ensuing year are Sam Douds, Gary Raison, Bruce Moore, Carl White, Neil Jensen, Hiram Leegsma, Bill French, Ron Morris, Claude Raison, Ross Bell, Deloss Fuzzie and James Linton. Don Howe, District Deputy Grand Master of District No. 50 and his enstalling team from Lyn capably dinner. The 4H Achievement Program will be Nov. 20th at the Lyn United Church. A three hour course will be given on "45 minutes meals without a microwave". Anyone interested please contact Isabel Robert at 928â€"2527 or Eileen Jvaues at 928â€"2170. The Program was an interesting display of pictures and stories of Delta, past and present. The Tweedsmuir History Book was also on view and contained a wide variety of pictures, news stories and personal records of Delta. This is a valuable history record kept by our Tweedsmuir Curators, the present one being Nellie French. In all, there are 7 Theological colleges across Canada which receive support from the Mission and Service Fund. Program was on the study of Inuit fight for survival against southern values. A graduate student, whose way was paid by the Dept. of Indian Affairs, to travel north and live with an Inuit family, told of his experiences. He was treated as one of family, taught their language, how to hunt, etc. Summing it up in a few words, the Inuits were ultimate survivors for in the harshest of all habitats, they with their values of cooperation and sharing, have lived contentedly. Edith closed with a very appropriate Indian Prayer. Lunch was enjoyed by all. Our Christmas meeting will be held Dec. 10 at Edna Willard's place. Faye Jansen gave an interesting paper on Citizenship entitled "Freedom for all", outlining what we take for granted. such as freedom of speech, worship, press, enterprize, voting and movement. Thelma read a poem entitled "Should God go on strike". A contest was held matching the wives with the Prime Ministers. Before the meeting Marion Stone and Darlene Sargent demonstrated on the short course they attended earlier on Short Order Meals, this was very good and everyone enjoyed the dishes they prepared for dinner. and impressively performed the functions of installation. you there!
