The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved also the Roll Call. It was realized that many activities had taken place and many deeds of charity were accomplished. The World Day of Prayer hosted by the Anglican Ladies' was most successful. Refreshments afterwards were served in the Senior Citizens hall. The treasurer's report showed a healthy balance. She also read the correspondence consisting of thank you notes from bereaved families. report forms passed out. Acting president Pat read a most enlightening account of the Hope Fund to which we contribute. A discussion followed on the holding of a Euchre but it was decided to defer this until fall. Debbie Kenney read a plea from the District Co-operative Nursery School for any possible donations. It was decided to give a donation from our CWL also any articles that might be used for the children. Father Shea invited us to attend the convention also to keep up our contributions was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a gift of dinner certificates. Meeting adjourned. South Crosby Boys Basketball On Feb. 26th the North Leeds Boys Basketball tournament was held at South Crosby school. The and Frankville. In the end the South Crosby Hoyas were the victors. They won all 5 games in the round robin with the closest contest against Sweets Corners. There will be an open house for the VON Seniors Support Program â€" North Leeds April 22, 1:30-4 in its new office in the Home Video Building in Elgin. This program is formerly the VON Volunteer Visiting Program located in Bastard and South Burgess township. It is a recognition of the need to help our seniors to remain independent and comfortable in their homes. This is not a medical service. The open house celebrates the expansion of the services to include: 1. Volunteer Visiting to seniors in Bastard and South Sponsored by Eta Tau Chapter Beta Sigma Phi. Burgess township; North .
