a.m.-.1 NORTH LEEDS LANTERN THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH CROSBY BYâ€"LAW NUMBER 19-87 Being a By-Law to establish policies and procedures for livestock damage within the Corporation of the Township of South Crosby. whereas Part 11, Chapter 123, R.S.0. 1980 provides for protection of livestock and poultry; And further, whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Township of South Crosby deem it necessary to establish policies and procedures to be followed in conjunction with this Legislation; Now Therefore the Council of The Corporation of the Township of South Crosby enacts as follows: 1. The livestock owner must report the death of or injury to livestock to the Municipal Clerk or Livestock Evaluator within forty-eight (48) hours of the happening of said death or injury. 2. The provisions of the Dog Licencing and Livestock and Poultry Protection Act should be strictly followed, particularly with regard to the filing of an Affidavit by the owner. 3. The above referred to Affidavit should state that it was not the owners dog who caused the injury or death of the livestock or poultry. 4. Notice of the new By-Law provisions to be published in a newspaper. 5. No compensation will be paid where an animal loses only a tail. 6. Compensation to be paid for death of or injury to livestock or poultry is to be based upon the Livestock Evaluator's appraisal. 7. That any Motions, Resolutions, By-Laws, or actions of Council that are in contravention of this by-law are hereby repealed.
