2 NORTH IEEDS LANTERN LETTER TO THE EDITOR I am proud to be a resident of Seeley's Bay. It is indeed, a caring community. This was clearly demonstrated following the tragic accident of Philip jardine, Kenneth & Andrew Babcock. During the days immediately following the accident, the people of this village and surrounding countryside, tried to do everything possible to help the grieving families. No one person or organization was put in charge, but very quickly, plans were made. The community groups, such as the Legion, Fire Department, Lions Club, and the churches, established their roles. individuals came forward In overwhelming numbers. To my knowledge no one was asked to do anything. People volunteered without hesitation. The list of volunteers would be in the hundreds. The purpose of this letter is not to attempt to thank those people. It is merely my aim to express the immense pride 1 have in belonging to this community. _ To the people of Seeley's Bay ~ take a bow.l Peggy Sweetâ€"McCumber TO ALL ADVERTISERS ORGANIZATIONS READERS B SUBSCRIBERS 8 Users of the Lantern: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: ALL Material - Ads.
