Councillor Linda Carr, Chairperson of the Policy and Procedures Committee, reported that there are no recommendations for changes to policies regarding work done on private roads, at the present time. It was also reported by Councillor Carr that the Policy and Procedures Committee recommend that special warning signs not be the responsibility of the Township of South Crosby. Byâ€"Law for this policy is to be drawn up and presented for consideration at next Council meeting. By-Law Number 16â€"89, a by-law to amend Zoning By-Law Number 32â€"83, was tabled for discussion at a future meeting, due to the fact that information required has not been received. Moved by Sly/Stedman that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Crosby have no objections to survey of portion of road allowance Pt Lot 20, between Concession 8&9. Carried. Byâ€"Law Number 15â€"89 was read a second and third time and passed this 12th day of June, 1989. Carried. Consideration and discussion was held regarding County Government in Ontario. The discussion related to several areas of the report which Council members disagreed with, such as size of Municipalities, representation on County Council, name of Head of Council, planning at the County level and Countyâ€"wide assessment. A report is to be compiled and sent to the United counties of Leeds and Grenville. Moved by Sly/Stedman that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Crosby agree in principle with the draft plan of survey in relation to the proposed plan of subdivision by Michael Meredith. That Council members be reimbursed for expenses twice a year â€" July lst and November 15th and that their concerning Land honorariums be paid in two installments, on these same dates. Clerk advised Council that a verbal complaint has been received regarding the noise and rough language at the Elgin Tavern, specifically on Friday and Saturday nights, and also the fact that this continues into the early hours of the morning.
