Tackaberry & A. Greenhorn Once again Council returned to school, this time at Rideau Centennial. Staff and students observed part of the meeting and asked many thoughtful questions on a wide range of topics. A film and presentation by Water & Earth Science Associates generated much- interest. In the spring, Rideau Centennial will be working on a recycling unit and will be taking part in a poster contest sponsored by the Environmental Conservation Committee of the Township. Beverley School has just participated in this contest and the students posters are displayed in public buildings around the Township. Be sure to read the accompanying article on recycling week by Lois Mowat, Recycling Week Activities Coâ€"ordinator. As well as Reeve Ostrom your two authors were at Beverley School for the presentations and were very impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication to the 3 R's by staff and students. Also, thanks to Lois Mowat for a job well done. Council, for the convenience of the users, has decided the recycling bins at both sites will be open on Saturdays as well as Tuesday at Portland and Thursday at Delta.
