SEELEY'S BAY LEGION On Sept. 30th Harry and Jane Jones invited this branch over to their cottage for a round of golf on their larger than miniature golf course. Bobby Aldridge was the winner with a score of 36 but the ultimate winner was Muscular DystrOphy. Jane and Harry are the organizers of a group amiably known as the Rideau Rats. With the golf, a volleyball tournament and a bass derby this summer they have donated $350. to M.D. and to this we say well done. Our Community Family Day was rained upon but it did not seem to dampen the spirits of the 30 or more kids that did attend. Bingo and darts were held indoors and a fish tank outdoors. A special vote of thanks to all the members and friends who contributed to this function. As you know by now, the Monkey Golf had to be moved to Sept. 19th and as usual we got rained upon again. Those who braved the weather had a good time and the winners were Dave and joan Lindop. Get your eyeshades out of mothballs and come to the Casino Night on Oct. 17th at 8:30 p.m. All the usual games of chance will be in place. Our Halloween Dance will be Oct. 31$t and as usual prizes will be awarded to the best costumes. Remembrance Day service will be held Nov. 8th this year. Please watch for details in the next issue.
