She showed us an Observer Magazine from l947. This was very interesting because it was in such a different form from todays. She read a beautiful . Thanksgiving prayer from it. Gladys read an article about Thanksgiving and then talked to us about the true meaning of the Lord's Prayer. The devotional closed with the repeating of this prayer. The offering was taken and dedicated. The roll call was answered by 14 members and the minutes were read and approved. A card of thanks from Gladys Chase and family was read. A donation was enclosed. Moved by Ruth Galway that we buy 10 church calendars. Velma Kelsey read the treasurer's report. The Bible from the Bibleâ€"aMonth Club was sent to Kenya. Matters pertaining to the construction of the new hall were discussed and plans made for our bazaar and tea. The business portion of the meeting closed with the Benediction. Lunch was served by Iva Sweet and Hazel Gilfillen.
