Correspondence consisted of thank you notes from Miriam Young, Betty Hudson, Jeff & Beryl Boerger. Mail had been received from Area Chairperson Betty James. Treasurer Marjorie Hughes expressed her thanks for having her books audited. Advant wreath and candles are to be purchased for St. Lukes'. Suggestions were made new Wassal curâ€" tains be purchased. Discussion on the Spring Rummage Sale, May 22 - 23. Arrangements are to be made for a combined meeting of the three churches to set up a for- mat. Jean Lafferty reported people who come to the Nearly New Shop enjoyed browsing and having coffee. ACW Annual will be held Thursday May 14th, St. Lukes' Church, 236 Nelson Street, Kingston. The new Worship Schedule and worship proposal for the combined parish of Leeds Rear is out for discussion. Vestry meeting will be held in the St. Lukes' Lyndhurst March 15 after service. Combined servie on March 22, 10:00 a.m., St. Peters, Seeley's Bay. Jean will arrange the ACW devotional meeting for April 2. The traveling shirt was given to Bernice. All together the members said closing prayer and repeated the Lord's Prayer. A Penny Auction was enjoyed by all. A delicious lunch served by Bernice. Hilda Talboys was LYNDHURST UCW Our March meeting was held at the church hall on Monday afternoon. Audrey welcomed everyone, and the UCW purpose was read in unison. Audrey also read the meaning of the praying hands symâ€" bol, which she attached to the front of our yearly meeting booklets. Audrey Raison held the devotional opening with hymn "Break Thou the Bread of Life.“ The topic was "A Letter from the Lord" referring to the Bible. The devotional was closed with prayer. Offering was taken by Audrey and dedicated by Mary Townsend. a report on Roll call by twelve business tended to for a Mary gave stewardship. was answered ladies. The portion was atâ€" including plans guest speaker for April. A thank you note was sent to Mark Raison for the cupboard he donated for the church entrance. Plans were also made to cater a dinner for the OASWT in April. Minutes were read and approved and the treasurers report given. It was moved by Marion Warren and seconded by Ethel Tye to renew the Bible a month club. The meeting was adjourned followed by benediction. A delicious lunch with a "St. Patrick's Day" cake was made and served by Ruth Galway and Iva Sweet. Courtesy was given by Mary Townsend. Betty Moarhead ST. JOHN'S ACW The March meeting was held 'at the home of Jean Roantree. Ruth Anna Glover opened the meeting with Scripture, Psalm 39. The treasurer's remained the same. The collection was taken. A thank you note was re- ceived from Reverend Jeff and Beryl Beroger boys, for our generous gift of money at Christmas. A thank you note was ceived from Ruth Anna Glover, for the “GOOd News Bible" given to her at Christmas, for her beautiful Scripture reading report re- and faithful service the ACW. Roll call was answered by 5 members. We were pleased to have little BriAnna Gordanier as our visitor. A lovely afternoon get together was had with Jean Roantree, as she has been unable to be at church and be with ACW members this winter. Due to bad weather and sickness attendance was small. The April meeting} will be held at the home of Darlene Lake. Reeve Bryan then turned the meeting over to Mr. Longtin. APPLICATION FOR ZONING AMENDMENT NUMBER 1-1992 G. TACKABERRY & SONS CONSTRUCTION LTD. Mr. Longtin described the purpose of this meeting was to amend Schedule A of By-Law 20-1991 by changing the zoning on the lands shown on Schedule A to this By-Law from "Aggregate Reserve Course" to "Special Rural Pit (SRP)". The effect of the By-Law is to permit the applicant to expand the existing pit in conjuction with an application for a pit licence under the , Aggregate Resources Act and in accordance with the provisions of the TOWnship Zoning By-Law.
