MARCH 1991 NORTH LEEDS LANTERN 3 The Directors & staff of the Lantern are proud to announce that we have received The Scotland Funeral H ome Grant, a communityservice of Scotland Funeral Home. The annual $ 1,000. 00 grant is given to a service organization which provides community programs that benefit the people of the North Leeds Region. We are also verygrateful, ever increasing production costs and the need to replace equipment have exhausted our small financial savings. Thanks to the care and consideration of David Scotland in initiating the grant we will be able to continue offering very reasonable advertising rates to residents and advertisers of North Leeds. Due to terrible weather Betty Blaclrman Associate Editor and Margaret Keith who handles subscription: were unable to attend. “Today is our anniversary.” Thirty-five years is a long time to be with another person. We’ve learned a lot about ourselves, and l think one of the biggest things we learned is the importance of considering the other’s needs. That's why we preplanned and prepaid for our funeral sen/ices. We want to be prepared and didn't want to worry about having to make plans later. And our family will know we cared enough to make arrangements now. We love each otherjust as much as we did :55 years ago. And preplanning isjust a way we show how much we still care. dcotflm/ funeraf 7162110 imited a 5 (613) 359-555 " s “Your Golden Rule / ’ l ’. Funeral Home" ,
