PROCLAMATION RIDEAU VALLEY CONSERVATION AUTHORITY DAY WHEREAS: "Rideau Valley Conservation Authority Day" was declared by the Authority to celebrate the 25th. Anniversary year since the Inaugural Meeting of the Fledgling Authority. WHEREAS: The Conservation Authority hopes that "Rideau Valley Conservation Authority Day" will increase participation at a community level in active conservation; and WHEREAS: An awareness of conservation of natural resources in general, and to the recognition of the good municipal/provincial conservation work of the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority in particular. WHEREAS: Events planned for this 25th. Anniversary of the Authority, are an art/ essay contest, ceremonial tree plantings at municipal offices, summer conservation plays, establishment of a conservation speakers bureau and a series of conservation awards honouring private citizens or companies who demonstrate and practive good conservation lifestyles.
