With a busy schedule there is no time for procrastination. The euchre each Wednesday caught on rather quickly and created a good deal of interest. There were seven tables on February 13th. The big winner was Diane Hogan with a perfect score of 100. On February 6th the winner was Tammy Slack. Also, the shuffle board is very popular. A shuffle board tournament is being organized for March 23rd. The ever popular darts is going strong every Sunday at 1:30. There will be an open mixed dart tournament on March 3rd. The Valentine's Dance held on February 16th drew a moderate crowd and everyone appeared to have a good time. The 50-50 draw was won by Tom Scovil. The raffle for a hand knitted sweater, by Edna by Trenna prizes were won by Dave whalen, Berta Bruyere. There will be a St. Patrick's Dinner on March 16th from 5:00 â€" 7:30 p.m. followed by a social evening. The Annual Public Speaking Contest will be held on March 9th at 1:30 p.m. Registration at 1:00 p.m. this is open to the public. Parents and Rice, was won Raison. Door Kelly Bruyere, Dillon and Ryan friends are encouraged to support our future leaders. The next general meeting will be held on March 7th and will feature nominations for office. Joe K. A delicious "Pot Luck" luncheon was served at noon. There were 66 at the luncheon, including 33 from Newboro. A short business meeting was followed by a singâ€" song with Jean Polk at the piano and Betty Bond as leader. Jim and Winona Barker entertained with a slide and talk presentation on their trip to Arizona, which was most interesting and enjoyed by all. The Wednesday afternoon dropâ€"in is going strong and creating a good deal of interest. Mervin Mills has done a lot of work getting it going and he would welcome more participants. Bring your friends and guests and enjoy an afternoon of leisure. The shopping bus to Kingston was nearly full on February 12th. The next bus will be on March 12th. Everyone is welcome. Allan Bond would like to see more register for the upcoming Seniors games. There is still plenty of time. The next regular meeting will be on March 6th. It will feature a "Pot Luck" luncheon at noon.
