S. S. Anniversary

The Presbyterian Sabbath School anniversary was held on Tuesday evening, and notwithstanding the very inclement state of the weather in the early part of the day, the evening was beautiful and the moon shone out in grandeur. The refreshments were served in the manse, after which all repaired to the church where a good programme, consisting of music, recitations, speeches, &c., was gone through without hesitation, and excellent order prevailed throughout. The attendance was good and quite an improvement is evident in the progress of the school; the children especially acted their part of the programme admirably.
