On Sunday afternoon as the C.P.R. snow plough was clearing the track after the storm of the morning, when between Williamsford and Berkeley, it struck a man who was walking on the track. His right arm was broken in two places, and his shoulder severely crushed. He was a tinsmith from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and was tramping from Markdale to Owen Sound, intending to work at R.P. Butchart's. It was a narrow escape, for had he not been seen by the conductor, who happened just then to look out, he would have been buried in the snow, and would probably have died before anything was known of the accident. He was brought here and was brought to the gaol, where his injuries was attended to. --O.S. Times
