ELECTION OF REEVE - We have been informed that Mr. Fennel, Reeve elected for Proton has put in the hands of the clerk a disclaimer, and Mr. McGregor has taken the declaration of office. There is no doubt Mr. Fennel would have served te township very satisfactorily but seeing that there were difficulties in the way, it was certainly the wise course to do as he has, and thus save the township the trouble and expense of a new election. - Herald
